Lori Scott is a research associate at the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center in Las Vegas. She is responsible for maintaining the animal records and database for the Center; in addition, she works in the local community to provide desert tortoise education and outreach. Lori obtained her degree in animal science from California Polytechnic State University and has worked in conservation education programs for the last six years. She hopes to play a significant role in recovery of this important keystone species by encouraging proper stewardship of our natural resources through continued community outreach and education programs.
